Ms. Fatima J. Chowdhury is an Advocate at the Honorable Supreme Court of Bangladesh and a Barrister-at-Law from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, UK. She earned her Diploma in Law and LLB (Honours) from the University of London, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma from Northumbria University.
Specializing in human rights law, Ms. Chowdhury began her career with a prominent human rights NGO in Chittagong. She then joined the international law firm Fox Mandal in Bangladesh before serving as a Labour Advisor at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka. After her tenure with the embassy, she returned to practicing human rights law.
Ms. Chowdhury is one of the founding partners of Stellar Chambers, where she specializes in various facets of human rights law, with a particular focus on international labor rights, women’s rights, and sustainable development goals. Additionally, she advises multinational companies on corporate social responsibility and social compliance. She also oversees the legal aid division at Stellar Chambers, providing essential legal support to underprivileged communities.
