Position Summary

Teach For Bangladesh was founded in 2012 and over the last thirteen years has successfully established a leadership model where every year thousands of Bangladeshi graduates and young professionals compete for the privilege of teaching in the most underserved schools of the country, a previously unthinkable phenomenon. Since our first recruitment campaign launched in 2013, more than 11,000 Bangladeshi graduates have applied to the Teach For Bangladesh Fellowship from top universities in Bangladesh and around the world. We accept around 5 percent of applicants every year to our program, which works to grow participants, known as Fellows, into high-impact leaders in the field of education development. Although Bangladesh has made significant progress in enrolment, the education system remains highly fragmented and unequal. Persistent disparities in access, completion and learning are evident across public, private and madrasa streams, and children from rural, low-income, disaster-affected communities and those with disabilities continue to face the greatest barriers to attaining foundational skills. These challenges are further intensified by climate and humanitarian disruptions, which have widened existing gaps. In this context of unprecedented pressure on the sector, the demand for innovative teachers and education leaders is more critical than ever.

We are looking for a values-driven and motivated team member who will help strengthen our efforts to recruit and mobilize the next generation of Bangladeshi youth for educational equity. As a Recruitment Junior Associate, you will support the planning and execution of recruitment and youth engagement activities that inspire talented graduates and young professionals to join the Teach For Bangladesh Fellowship.

You will work closely with team members to execute recruitment campaigns, manage youth engagement programs, coordinate outreach efforts, and maintain high-quality documentation and communication. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with people, managing events, and supporting youth leadership development in a fast-paced mission-driven environment. It will also help you build transferable skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and event management.

Major Responsibilities

• Build candidates’ understanding of, investment in, and alignment with TFB’s mission, vision, and Fellowship program throughout the application, selection, and early engagement processes. Support accepted candidates through onboarding, pre-Fellowship events, mentoring, and community-building activities to ensure alignment with TFB’s values and vision.
• Plan and execute nationwide recruitment campaigns to attract top candidates from Bangladeshi and international universities, workplaces, and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, including minority and historically marginalized communities. Build partnerships with universities, faculty, career offices, and strategic partners to raise awareness of educational inequity in Bangladesh and TFB’s work. Represent TFB at events, webinars, and public speaking sessions.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Campus Ambassadors to drive recruitment outcomes. Design and execute engagement programs, workshops, and seminars that equip youth with leadership skills, knowledge, and mindset to address societal challenges. Strengthen TFB’s brand to be considered a top career option for students, job-seekers, parents, university faculty, and employers.
• Facilitate accepted candidates’ onboarding and decision-making processes. Organize pre-Fellowship events and mentoring programs to foster a sense of purpose, leadership, and long-term commitment to systemic change.
• Participate in application screening, assessment centers, and interviews. Evaluate candidate fit with program requirements, competencies, and organizational values while maintaining fairness, consistency, and a data-driven approach.
• Track, analyze, and report on recruitment, selection, and matriculation metrics. Maintain documentation, dashboards, and CRM systems to support strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement.

• Strong understanding of TFB mission, vision, and core values
• Current context of education and what TFB is doing inside it, and how
• Knowledge of the youth context in Bangladeshi universities
• Awareness of labour market trends and career aspirations of top graduates
• Basic understanding of Child Protection Policy and Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse concepts

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited local or foreign university is required. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years of full-time work experience is preferred, especially in marketing, sales, or recruitment, targeting top talent pools.
• Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English and Bangla are required.
• A deep understanding of and strong alignment with TFB’s mission, vision, and core values are required.
• A strong conviction that every child in Bangladesh, regardless of socioeconomic background, can learn and achieve high results is required.
• Experience working with marginalised and underprivileged communities is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits 

Salary is competitive in the Bangladeshi context. Benefits include festival bonus (2 per year), medical insurance, 24 days of annual leave (accrued over a year), 8 days of sick leave, and opportunities for training and travel (see below).
