Position Summary 

Teach For Bangladesh is looking for a Deputy Manager to join our incredible Partnership Development team. The Partnership Development Team at TFB is an integral part of our long-term mission to eradicate educational inequity in Bangladesh. The team’s core function is to inspire and empower individuals and organizations to commit to our national movement for educational equity. The team nurtures a growing network of local, regional, and global champions who are deeply connected and involved with the mission of our organization, lending their voice, resources and support to our cause while committing to scaling and maximizing the impact of our program. In addition, the team is responsible for strategic communication, and some aspects of branding and management of relationships with the government. 

To help the Partnership Development team strengthen existing relationships, nurture new ones, and secure the financial sustainability and growth of Teach For Bangladesh as an organization, we are looking for a proactive, motivated, and goal-oriented Deputy Manager, Partnership Development. As Deputy Manager, they will work closely with the Manager and Director, Partnership Development & Resource Mobilization, to strengthen donor relationships, support partnership development, and ensure effective execution of fundraising and communication strategies. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about nonprofit fundraising, enjoys coordination and relationship management, and is eager to build their career in partnership development and resource mobilization.

Major Responsibilities 

• Support research, identify new leads and assist in cultivating potential new supporters in the nonprofit, public, bilateral and multilateral sectors with a specific focus on local corporate partnerships
• Manage a portfolio of diverse donors (identify, cultivate, acquire and steward) and maintain a database of current, past, and prospects with a high degree of professionalism
• Assist in drafting and coordinating grant proposals, donor reports, and fundraising collateral
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of innovative local and international fundraising campaigns
• Track donor pipelines, funding progress, and partnership performance metrics to support strategic decision-making
• Coordinate the implementation of large organizational projects funded by our strategic partners with other TFB teams
• Support the Partnership Development Director to maintain an overview of funding across the organization and analyze income sources to inform fundraising strategies and assess progress against targets
• Support the Partnership Development team’s branding, communications and social media strategy
• Coordinate logistics and note-taking for meetings, prepare relevant materials and briefing for the Partnership Development Director, the CEO, and the Board
• Provide administrative, reporting, and project management support to ensure the effective functioning of the Partnership Development team
• Stay updated with Bangladeshi and global education, funding, and policy landscape  

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong belief that every child can learn and achieve high results
• Exceptional writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interface with multiple audiences, internal teams, and stakeholders while presenting ideas clearly and in an engaging manner 
• High attention to detail, organizational ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Strong reasoning and strategic thinking skills
• Creativity and adaptability, with an interest in fundraising communications, branding, and partnerships
• Creative aptitude and familiarity with interactive design, website and social media management, and email marketing platforms preferred
• Ability to travel within Dhaka frequently, including occasionally on weekends

Educational Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable local or foreign university is required
• A postgraduate degree in a related field is preferred, but not essential 

Language Requirements 

• Exceptional fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this role
• Fluency in spoken Bangla is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in written Bangla is also helpful

Preferred Experience 

• 3-4 years of relevant work experience is preferred for this role in the Bangladeshi context

Compensation and Benefits 

Salary is competitive in the Bangladeshi context. Benefits include festival bonus (2 per year), medical insurance, 24 days of annual leave (accrued over a year), 8 days of sick leave, and opportunities for training and travel (see below).
